Glazni Keyboard is a full replacement for the Google keyboard: everyday typing, plus a built-in mic button for speech-to-text that runs entirely on your phone. Nothing you type or say is sent anywhere to get transcribed. Built for anyone trying to leave the Google ecosystem without losing the keyboard features they actually rely on.
The Google keyboard is hard to avoid, which is exactly the problem: every keystroke and every dictated word is a data point flowing through someone else's servers by default. Glazni Keyboard is a drop-in replacement โ same everyday typing experience, same shortcuts and suggestions โ built to work completely offline.
Speech-to-text is built in, not bolted on. Tap the mic and dictation runs through a local VOSK model right on your device โ no audio upload, no cloud transcription service in the middle. Whisper model support is planned for a future release, so you'll be able to choose the model that fits your phone and your accuracy needs, all still processed locally.
One app, installed once, that handles both typing and dictation without calling home.
A full system keyboard with standard suggestions and shortcuts, set as your default in place of Gboard โ nothing it learns leaves your device.
Tap the mic and speak โ a local VOSK model transcribes it on-device in real time, with no audio ever sent off your phone to get turned into text.
Works in any app that accepts a keyboard โ including Journal and Photo Journal, for dictating an entry instead of typing it out.
Glazni Keyboard works as your system keyboard everywhere, but it's a particularly good match for the other apps in this lineup. Speak a day's entry instead of typing it, still with the same guarantee โ the words never leave your phone to become text.
Use it with Journal for a spoken daily entry, or with Photo Journal to add a quick note to a day's photo โ private speech-to-text, on a private archive.

Real screenshots are going in these three slots as the build lands.

Google Play and the App Store are on the roadmap. Until then, this installs straight from the APK above โ you'll need to allow installs from outside the Play Store on Android, and set it as your default keyboard once it's installed.
